iFix®

PEEK-OPTIMA® Interference Screw

The iFix® Interference Screw System was the first self-tapping polyetheretherketone (PEEK) interference screw developed for Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction procedures using the bone-patellar tendon-bone. The iFix® System’s advanced technology and unique material provides solutions to surgeons without the limits of today’s interference screws. Multiple sizes are offered to accommodate all types of pathologies and patient needs.

iFix® is manufactured using PEEK-OPTIMA®, a non-absorbable polymer that is highly biocompatible, biomechanically strong and radiolucent. PEEK-OPTIMA® has over a decade of proven success in orthopedics and, combined with the iFix® System’s innovative design, is an ideal material for ACL fixation.

The iFix® System with PEEK-OPTIMA® technology provides surgeons with the following features:

iFix® Driver

  • Strong, Rigid Fixation: Provides superior strength to graft fixation without the concern of graft failure or screw fracture during insertion common with bio-absorbable screws
  • Radiolucent: Clear post-operative imaging and exceptional image clarity over metallic screws
  • Ideal Modulus:Close match to bone modulus, which minimizes stress shielding and provides an optimal environment for bone healing

    iFix Interface Screws

  • Self-tapping: Advanced design eliminates the need for tapping before insertion, thereby reducing overall procedure time
  • Bio-Inert: PEEK-OPTIMA® eliminates the risk of inflammatory responses common to absorbable polymers

Intended Use

The iFix® Interference Screw is intended for use with bone tendon bone (BTB) grafts to provide fixation during arthroscopic or open ACL reconstruction procedures. Please consult product labels for indications, contraindications, hazards, warnings, cautions, and information for use.
